Dimension Item Limits Increase and Tier Upgrade Price Decrease!

Hello Dimensioneers! I didn’t expect to write another blog post so soon after the Landquarium article but there is some very exciting news to share about dimension keys, item limits increasing and the cost to upgrade dimensions will be decreasing! Yes, that’s right more opportunities to continue pushing the limits of creativity with your dimension builds coming to RIFT very soon!

Item Limit Increases

On Wednesday, October 4th 2017 all dimensions item caps will be increased. Dimension keys will be available in item limits of 800, 1,600, 2,400 and 2,800. You can find out which keys will fall into these categories on the guide here.

The initial starter dimensions, Sanguine Shores and Wardens Point will double in item capacity from their current 400 cap up to 800 at Tier 5. If you have these keys currently maxed out at Tier 5 you will gain an additional 400 item cap.

The remaining personal dimension keys have been categorized into three sizes, Small at 1,600 items, Medium at 2,400 items, and Large at 2,800 items. Each upgrade tier will see an increase in item limits. Here’s the breakdown of the sizing limits for each Tier:

Small 1,600

Tier 1: 200 items
Tier 2: 400 items
Tier 3: 600 items
Tier 4: 1,000 items
Tier 5: 1,600 items

Medium 2,400

Tier 1: 300 items
Tier 2: 600 items
Tier 3: 900 items
Tier 4: 1,500 items
Tier 5: 2,200 items

Large 2,800

Tier 1: 400 items
Tier 2: 800 items
Tier 3: 1,200 items
Tier 4: 2,000 items
Tier 5: 2,800 items

Whoa! This is a huge upgrade for dimensions.

The most common dimension keys to build in have been those with higher item limits 2,000 or more, Moonshade Pools and Anywhere are at the top of the popularity charts right now. With this new update there will be more than 50 dimension keys with an item limit of 2,400 or 2,800 giving Dimensioneers a whole lot more options of keys with high item capacity to use for their projects.

I feel a great deal of limitations will be lifted with this update and we can all give MANY THANKS to our super-hero Dev Tacitus for making this a reality.

Upgrade Cost Decrease

Each dimension will maintain it’s Tier 1 through Tier 5 upgrade levels but the cost of these upgrade caps will be reduced, and by quite a lot! This means that anytime you upgrade a dimension key after the patch on October 4th the prices below will be what you will pay to increase limits. If you are about to increase item count on your latest dimension wait until next week to do so! In addition, Guild Dimensions will also have a decrease in their platinum upgrade costs. This is so exciting! I’d been holding off on getting tier 5 for my main dimension, because I haven’t yet reached the 1000 items I am currently allowed to have. 😀
